Design Dollies, Sketchy Thursdays and Me

I've really been enjoying all the sketch/challenge sites lately. I try to choose sketches that are very similar to my usual style and I think it's helping me get more done. I think with all the pages I'm doing for my mom's gift album I'd have lost my mojo long ago if it weren't for sketches. So thanks, oh challenge sites, for keeping me going! ;)

Here's one I did for this past Thursday's sketch at Design Dollies. I used a few items from the Oct. Kenner Road kit, including the striped pp (which I crimped), the ribbon and that fabulous flower tag.

This is my mom with five of her brothers and sisters and my gram.






For this lo I used this week's sketch at Sketchy Thursdays...my first time participating there. I absolutely loved doing this lo because I used seven different colors of glimmer mist (I know, it's a bit of an addiction...I'm working on it). I made the yo-yo flower and the stacked flower I made out of a paper bag I glimmer misted and cut with my Sizzix. The cs is Coredinations I sanded before misting.

This is my parents and my sister and me at her wedding in 1994. I think she looked so gorgeous (she's the one next to my dad, in case you're wondering).







And finally, this lo is my own doing. I ordered this fabulous American Crafts paper and my jaw dropped when I saw it. I absolutely fell in love with the green and teal together and the patterns? Oh my! Because it's such a simple lo I felt it needed something so I colored a leaf on each tree with a teal souffle pen.
